Ancient Nepal Tour cover 7 UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley ,Historic city Gurkha, the ancient capital of Nepal , the emerging new Hill station Bandipur popular hill station- Nagarkot, Pokhara valley- known as Switzerland of Asia which gives magnificent view of western Himalayan ranges including Mt Fishtail, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges. Pokhara city posses many scenic and important sightseeing points as lake, waterfall, international Mountain museum etc and different adventure and recreational activities as paragliding, Ultra light flight , Zip Flyer etc and Chitwan National Park- which is one of the best and most popular wildlife sanctuary in the world. Inside the park one can see various wild animals in their own habitat and enjoy the different activities related to wild animals and local Tharu tribe. DAY 01: ARRIVAL KATHMANDU-(Altitude: 1,350m) Dinner only
Meet and greet upon arrival at the International airport and transfer to hotel. Traditional tika ceremony upon arrival, check into the hotel, tour briefing followed by welcome drink. Late evening enjoy dinner in Nepalese restaurant with local dance, overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.
DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING B/L/D
After breakfast leave for full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley covering Kathmandu Durbar square which is also known as Hanuman Dhoka or Kumari temple (temple of living goddess). In this area you will visit Kumari temple- temple of living goddess, Kasthmandap-the wooden temple built by a single tree, palaces, forts, temples & many more historical sites; Swayambhunath Stupa-almost 2000 years old Stupa situated on a hillock offer breathtaking view of whole Kathmandu valley & eastern Himalayan ranges. Lunch will be served at any specialty near Patan city area. After lunch, proceed for Patan Durbar Square- the city of art and architecture where you can see Durbar square, stone temple, Buddhist monasteries etc. Return to hotel, get refreshed and proceed for dinner at specialty restaurant. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu
DAY 03: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING B/L/D
After breakfast leave for UNESCO world Heritage sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath temple- the oldest and most sacred Hindu temple of the world situated on the bank of Holy Bagmati River where all the dead bodies of the valley is cremated. In this area you will see dead body being cremated, old temples, many Hindu priests etc. We further proceed to Boudhanath Stupa-one of the biggest and oldest stupa of the world, the surrounding area also known as little Tibet because this area is covered by Tibetan refugees and is one of the biggest Tibetan refugee camps of the valley. Lunch will be served at Restaurant in Boudhanath area. Rest of the day is free to explore Thamel- tourist hub. Late evening, dinner will be arranged at specialty restaurant in Thamel area. Return to hotel and overnight.
DAY 04: DRIVE KATHMANDU/ POKHARA B/L/D
After breakfast leave for Pokhara (220 Kms) around 5 hrs smooth drive passing through the valleys, rivers, terraces fields and sometimes viewing different Himalayan ranges. On the way you will absorb local villagers working on their paddy fields, tourists are enjoying exciting white water rafting on the famous Trishuli rivers, cable car riding to the famous Manokamana temple etc. Lunch will be served at Manokamana café or Riverside spring Resort. Finally arrive Pokhara and check into hotel. After get refreshed walk around famous Fewa Lake. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05: POKHARA SIGHTSEEING B/L/D
Pokhara is one of the most important places to enjoy the nearest view of the western Himalayan ranges. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful view of sunrise and golden panoramic view of the western Himalayan ranges. Your vehicle and guide will be waiting for you at hotel parking for the sunrise tour. Walk approx 10 minutes to a hillock and enjoy the view. Return to hotel and get refreshed. After breakfast proceed to city sightseeing covering Seti gorge, International Mountain Museum, Devi’s fall also known as Patale Chhango, Tibetan refugee camp and Fewa Lake. At the end of the tour proceed for 1 hour boat ride on famous Fewa Lake. Lunch will be served on the local restaurant or at your hotel. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 06: DRIVE TO GORKHA, VISIT GORKHA / DRIVE TO BANDIPUR B/L/D
After breakfast drive to Gorkha- the ancient capital of Nepal ( 90 Km, 2 hours) , visit historical sites, museum, palaces etc. After lunch drive to Bandipur (45 Kms, 1 hrs drive). After get refreshed enjoy the view of different mountains, ranges, Himalayan ranges etc. If time permit visit to local villages can be organized. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 07: DRIVE TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Wake up early morning to witness the view of mid and eastern Himalayan ranges with sunrise. Enjoy the walking around village. Breakfast, rest for sometimes and drive towards Chitwan National Park (85 Kms, 2 hrs drive) enjoying the view of the mountains, rivers, passing through the valleys on the way, finally arrive Chitwan National Park and check into Jungle camp or Resort followed by lunch. Evening local villages tours & enjoy the sunset over the jungle as its background. Late evening Tharu cultural dance program followed by Dinner & overnight.
DAY 08: FULL DAY AT CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, enjoy the Elephant back safari inside the jungle to see the famous one-horned rhinos of Asia, wild boars different kinds of deer’s, If you are lucky, you might have an opportunity to see tiger and many more animals. Return back to hotel, lunch is served. After lunch, canoe ride on Buri Ravti River to see the crocodiles, afterward visit Elephant breeding center. Evening visit around local village/ spend time on your own. Late evening, dinner will be served, overnight at hotel.
DAY 09: FLY CHITWAN (BHARATPUR)/ KATHMANDU – DRIVE NAGARKOT B/L/D
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and proceed for local city sightseeing tour covering the ancient Hindu temple of Changu Narayan which is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple is surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village & Bhaktapur Durbar Square which was founded in 889 AD. is 13 km east from Kathmandu. The old palace square of Bhaktapur contains famous "Fifty-five windows palace". It was the royal palace of Malla kings then. The golden gate in this square is the unique master piece of the Newari art work in the whole of NEPAL. This old square is like an open museum of Hindu temples. The other famous sites are the ancient royal bath, the courtyard of Taleju shrine; the museum of art and history, the pottery square, the majestic Nyatapola temple, the famous Peacock window and the Dattatraya temple .You can feel the mythical air of timelessness in Bhaktapur. Lunch will be served at any specialty restaurant as per the choice of the clients near Bhaktapur. After lunch, start drive to Nagarkot and enjoy the scenic view of valley, sunset and golden Himalayas. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
DAY10: DEPARTURE B
Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise on the Himalayan ranges including Mount Everest on a clear day. If time permit walk around the village to know the day to day life of Nepali villagers. After breakfast drive to Tribhuwan International Airport for flight to onward journey with beautiful memories of Nepal.
